My recent diet has not been good for my effort to lose weight. But perhaps if I can get other people fat, then maybe I won't seem too overweight. And I'm going to attempt to do so one recipe at a time. Like avocados? This recipe will have you rushing to the grocery store to raid every last one of them. Ever tried them in desserts. Do it. Now. Well, after you copy down the recipe
Avocado smoothie
1 large ripe avocado
half cup to 1 cup of milk
copious amount of sweetened condensed milk
Blend all. Now consume and feel orgasmic.
As I've said in my previous post, my in-laws have a cluttered house with everything you'd ever think you need in it, except flour, as I found today. But I've no one to blame. Last time I raided the cupboards I noticed bags of flour that was probably harvested by the first wave of Chinese immigrants and promptly had my MIL discard them (as usual she's pretty easy going with me taking over her kitchen). Today, I felt the urge to make brownies, but alas, no flour. No fear! I found a whole bag of red beans (it's an Asian household, after all!), and made brownies with those instead. Just use any typical brownie recipe, and substitute flour with cooked, strained and mashed red beans.
After they were baked, my unknowing father-in-law consumed some and thought they were quite good. You can't really tell the difference, and in fact, I think this makes them more moist.
Alright, time for my end-of-the-day avocado smoothie. A girl's gotta have something to look forward to in life!
